From Zagreb to Tirana in 3, 2, 1…

alt

Dear friends,

at the moment you are probably reading this, I´m landing in Zagreb and hopefully I am assembling my bike or even better I am already on the road.

alt

It is Thursday evening writing this and right now, I feel pretty excited and can´t wait to be bikepacking again. Thanks to all of you, I feel totally prepared and fulfilled with happiness, thinking about the next two weeks.

alt alt

From the start in Zagreb I will continue to Sarajevo. This first part of the journey will most likely be very flat and be a good beginning, getting used to some high temperatures again. From Sarajevo the journey continues into the Durmitor National Park in Montenegro.

alt

From this point on, the stages will be shorter, but the climbing will be even more. I will cross Montenegro and cycle to the coast until I will reach Dubrovnik - better known out of Kings Landing / Game of Thrones. The upcoming stages after Dubrovnik will be Kotor, Shkodra and finally Tirana in Albania - always alongside the coastline.

Duration: 12 days

Distance: ca. 1.300 km

Ascend: 17.000 m

Stages: Zagreb – Sarajevo – Durmitor – Dubrovnik – Kotor – Tirana
